CARA
Cara won the annual Science Shop prize, completing a dissertation for Foyle Women’s Aid & Rainbow, examining domestic violence within same-sex relationships.
Her research addressed a sensitive subject which meant she had to develop her communication skills to deal with this hidden subject.
Cara’s research identified protocols for dealing with the issue of domestic violence within same sex relationship and these have been adopted by key stake holder organisations in the Northwest.
Cara is proud that her project is helping to address this issue. Cara graduated with a BSc Hons Criminology & Criminal Justice degree at the Jordanstown campus.
